An artist that walks a tightrope between the intimate and the otherworldly, Wendy McNeill has been steadily gaining acclaim for her poignant lyrics and captivating live shows. She is a fan of underdogs, strange cats and brave hearts, and these characters are often the centre pieces of her songs which she creates with looped vocals, accordion, guitar, kalimba, synths and samples.
First There Were Feathers’ is a dive into deep time and dark waters, with poetry, lyrics and grooves to match- a blend of myth and memoirthat explores our connection to birds and how their fate is linked with our own.
